Hamstreet
Set in the heart of the parish of Orlestone and close to Ashford, Ham Street is a busy village twinned with the village of Therouane in France.
Hamstreet has masses going for it - station, primary school, shops, tennis courts, a great Indian restaurant and only about 15 minutes from the coast. I think it's going to become more and more popular as time goes by.

With its bustling parade of shops and strong community spirit, it is a popular location for those who require convenient access to Ashford.
Amongst its many conveniences on offer, the village boasts a supermarket, a newsagent, a hairdressers, a popular pub, a garage, a dog grooming parlour as well as a garden centre!
For families with children, there is a local primary school which also offers a well attended pre-school department for younger children.
A social village in its own right, there are several activities to get involved with, many of which are held in the local Victory Hall. These activities include; table tennis, football, netball, tennis, bowls, a WI and an over 60’s club.
For those who enjoy outdoor activities, the Ham Street Woods National Nature Reserve and the Bourne Wood Nature Reserves offer the perfect setting for walkers, runners and hikers, along with the Royal Military Canal which runs through the parish and is popular with anglers.
