Hobbs Parker is seeking an experienced Sales Negotiator to join our busy Ashford office on a full-time basis.

This role is ideal for a motivated and knowledgeable property professional with several years’ experience in residential sales and a strong understanding of the local area. You will enjoy working with village and country homes and will play a key role in helping clients buy and sell some of the area’s most desirable properties.

We are looking for someone confident, personable, and highly organised, with excellent communication skills and a proactive approach to their work.

The successful candidate will work closely with senior members of the business in a collaborative and supportive environment. You will be part of a well-established team of approximately 30 like-minded, highly experienced professionals who share a genuine enthusiasm for property and outstanding customer service.

The role is based on working hours of 9.00am to 5.30pm, with a limited Saturday working requirement.

We are looking for an experienced Lettings Negotiator to join our busy and established team based in Ashford.

This is a great opportunity for someone already working within residential lettings who is confident managing applicants, landlords & negotiations and who can quickly become a key part of the team from day one.

We deal with a wide range of quality properties across Kent, including some exceptional countryside homes and rural lettings, so an appreciation for high standards of service and presentation is important.

The position is predominantly based in our Ashford office, although occasional travel to other branches will be required.

This is a full-time role, working every other Saturday with a day off in lieu.

Hobbs Parker are a well-established multi-disciplinary firm of Chartered Surveyors, Planners, Auctioneers and Estate Agents based in Ashford, Kent. We operate one of the largest livestock markets in the South East, in addition to a successful car auction business and well-established local estate and letting agency. You will act as an ambassador for the firm, promoting its services when opportunities arise.

We are looking to appoint a motivated and enthusiastic graduate or recently qualified surveyor to join our dynamic team of chartered surveyors based in Ashford, Kent. We are fortunate as a firm to undertake a variety of instructions and we’re keen to help you develop your career path through our varied workload.

The Role

You will get involved in all aspects of rural surveying and a diverse range of instructions and have the opportunity to develop your skills in:

  • Valuation – you will primarily work alongside our valuation team assisting with the valuation of rural and agricultural property for a variety of purposes
  • Agricultural tenancies – assisting with lease renewals, rent reviews and lettings.
  • Compulsory purchase and compensation – assisting with works involving utilities and infrastructure schemes.
  • Environmental schemes – advising clients on the latest environmental and grant schemes and assisting with applications.
  • Planning – opportunities to work alongside our team of planning consultants
  • Development- there may be opportunities to work alongside our successful development consultancy
  • Renewables- there may be opportunities to assist with negotiations through to option and lease agreements

About You

You will be a graduate working towards your APC or a recently qualified surveyor (up to 2 years post qualification experience) with a passion for rural property and a drive to build client relationships and contribute towards the growth and success of the surveying team.  A basic knowledge of farming is advantageous.

There is scope within the business to grow and develop your career for the longer term.

The role will involve travel and therefore a full driving licence and own vehicle is essential.

I was told to contact you with my inquiry; I am 24 years old with an established sales background in Media and the Motor Trade. I have worked for the Kent Messenger since 2007 having previously joined Lipscomb Volvo as a Trainee Sales Consultant at 18 in 2003.

I am interested in exploring the possibility of a career working for a professional Auctioneers, I have a natural flair which lends itself well to my current sales position and very strong communication skills.

I am passionate about cars particularly classic cars which led me to make this enquiry, however seeing the vast portfolio of Hobbs Parker I would be interested in finding out more about every area.
