A delightful unspoilt rural village nestling under the North Downs, Westwell boasts many period properties including the ancient Mill House with it’s working water wheel.
The Street contains pretty gabled cottages overlooking a charming village centre and on to open countryside offering many walks and rides.
One spoke of the village inn’s sign, The wheel, was painted green by the New Zealand Army in the Second World War. The pub and nearby village hall are the centres for many village activities including the Women’s Institute, Parochial Church Council, Social Club, Bat & Trap team, play-school, and the ever popular Westwell Players amateur dramatics and the pub also provides a jolly good Sunday lunch!
