Bethersden

A quintessentially English village, small in size yet within easy reach of Ashford and Tenterden.

Be aware that you will spend more than you mean to if you go to Marchants Butcher & Deli. The rest of the village is pretty good too; a village shop, pubs, tennis club and a cricket club at which I made my debut last season (scored 2!).

Bethersden is a thriving village, boasting two popular pubs, The Bull at one end and The George in the centre of the village, the perfect retreats for locals or for visitors passing through.

The church of St Margaret’s with its 15th century tower proudly dominates the western side of the village where many services and events are held including an annual flower festival.

Although Bethersden is small, it has a busting and friendly community and surprisingly, offers its residents a wide range of amenities and leisure facilities.
Within this well stocked village you will find a friendly post office with shop, welcoming pubs serving food to their guests and rather uniquely, an ironcraft centre where you can buy anything from candlesticks to gates for your driveway!

For those who enjoy spending their time outdoors, the village has its own recreation ground providing the perfect location for sports such as football, tennis, cricket and basketball. For those with children, there is also a playing field with swings etc.

Once a year the village hosts the popular and enjoyable Garden Fete event in the village along with many other events throughout the year.
