Matches Sports Bar, Grill & Social is a new addition to Elwick Place, offering an experience like no other in Ashford. This is a bar that tries to make your social outing as social as possible.

23 Ultra-HD TV screens are dotted around the bar showing live sports from all over the world. Choose from a variety of comfy seats, or make yourself at home in one of the booths. Self-pouring taps mean you don’t have to miss any of the conversation. Craft beers sit alongside global classics, and cocktails are on the menu too. Thursday nights offer cocktails for only £6 all night long.

But you don’t have to choose just a handful of your friends to enjoy a beer and burger with. Matches offers the hire of ‘The Snug’, a semi-private area with a personal 85-inch HDTV suitable for up to 12 people. Those who are bringing the entire team plus the coaches might enjoy ‘The Matchbox’. This private room can hold up to 15 people and comes with an 85-inch HDTV plus super-surround sound. That’s not including the £100 tab for food and drink that comes with the booking. Result!

No sports bar would be complete without a suitable menu, and Matches is no different. Burgers, wings, and loaded fries are just some of the staples you can expect, along with a breakfast and a lunch menu. Glutton or glory-hog? See if you can add your name to the Breakfast Tray Champions board.

Of course, going out to a bar isn’t just about catching up with friends; it’s about beating them in pub games! There are interactive darts, shuffleboard, beer pong, cashless pool, games consoles, arcade cabinets and more. Or test the range of your lungs (and your friendships!) by stepping up to the karaoke mic.
