Wye National Nature Reserve
Wye National Nature Reserve offers stunning views over its chalk grassland and steep coombes and is home to an abundance of wildlife, insects and plants.
Originally carved by melting snow at the end of the Ice Age, the Wye National Nature Reserve is one of natures finest creations.
The nature reserve has a circular nature trail and several public footpaths passing through it. A particular area of interest known as The Devil’s Kneading Trough is a name given to the dry valley that cuts into the North Downs which has a restaurant at the top providing refreshments to weary walkers –including cream teas and sandwiches.
The view from the Millstone at the top of the Devil’s Kneading Trough is outstanding and on a clear day it is possible to see the coast at Hythe and Folkestone.
