Pluckley Gardening Society

A long standing club to Pluckley, the busy Gardening Society has been meeting regularly since 1950.

When the group was first launched, the main highlights of the Pluckley Gardening Society calendar were the Spring and Autumn shows which still prove popular today.

Although entries are judged by an RHS approved judge (no chance of favouritism or nepotism!) and prizes are given for exhibits, the emphasis on show days is on coming together in the village hall to admire and enjoy the displays that everyone has brought. There is something for everyone on these show days, floral or vegetable devotees, regardless of age and experience can enter.

In addition to the shows, the society aims to organise an event every month. These include trips to gardens; some only open to groups, talks mainly about plants, evenings in a member’s garden and a photographic competition at the AGM.

Membership for this friendly, busy, and always informal society is £7.50 per annum for each garden. If you enjoy being in the garden, love plants and flowers, and want to meet like-minded people from Pluckley, this is the group for you!
