Jon ChapmanMD and Auctioneer
There's no need for you to worry about adverts, letting people test drive your car, dealing with payment or any problems after you have sold your car.
We deal with all of that for you.
And in a Covid-safe environment too.
Selling your car can be a hassle at the best of times – right now it’s even more difficult with extra worries.
Selling by auction has always made sense – it’s simple and it’s quick – and we take care of all the worries for you.
You can set a minimum price that you are happy to accept, the reserve price, deliver it to our auction centre in Ashford and in most cases our cheque will be on its way to your just 48 hours after the sale.
All our auctions are taking place online at the moment.
Our 5-step process makes sure this is Covid-safe for sellers too.
Step 1 – We recommend you speak to one of our auctioneers first so they can tell you what they think your car will sell for by auction. You can call us on 01233 506266 or if you prefer you may complete this simple form. How much will my car sell for?
Step 2 – If you’d like to enter your car for sale call us on 01233 506266 and we’ll post your an entry form, wallet for your keys and some helpful notes. Or you can fill out this simple form if you prefer.
Step 3 – Call us to let us know what time you’d like to deliver your car to our auction centre. We are open from 9 am to 5 pm on weekdays. We are closed at weekends. Remember to bring your Registration Document (V5), service history and spare keys.
Step 4 – Park your car in our socially-distanced parking bays. Leave all your keys and documents in the car on the passenger seat and call our office. One of our staff will come out to meet you and collect your keys and documents. They’ll also be able to answer any final questions you may have.
Step 5 – Leave the car with us. Most cars are sold at the first sale and we’ll send your cheque by first class post within 48 hours or the sale. We do all the DVLC paperwork for you too.
Please respect the following simple rules for your safety and the safety of our staff:
- No more than two people to deliver the car, one to drive it here, the other to give you lift home. Please be aware that Hobbs Parker staff cannot provide any transport. You can call a local taxi firm if required.
- Wear a mask at all times whilst at our auction centre even whilst outside. Our staff will do the same.
- Please leave the site promptly once we have taken safe delivery of your car.
