This 1934 Ford Flathead V8 Roadster is confirmed by the V5 as having been imported to the UK in 1986. Originally manufactured in 1934, it is particularly unique as a right-hand drive model.

The car was last enjoyed on a road trip to the South of France and has since been kept in secure private storage.

Included with the vehicle are essential spare parts to prepare it for the next journey, along with 2 old MOT certificates and supporting documents.

 Built in August 1974 and first registered in California at the start of 1975, this Ford Ranger F250 Super Cab Long Bed represents the heavy-duty three-quarter-ton pickup from the sixth-generation F-Series, celebrated for its toughness and enduring design. Powered by Ford’s formidable 460ci (7.5-litre) V8 producing around 220bhp, and paired with a 3-speed automatic column shift transmission, the truck offers the classic big-block American driving experience.

 Finished in beige over white with a brown interior, this Super Cab provides seating for six with factory-fitted seat belts. Features include power steering, green tinted glass, manual windows, sliding rear cab glass, opening rear side windows, and a towbar with 3-way adaptor. The cabin retains period originality with a working US KRACO radio cassette and even its original fire extinguisher in place. The truck currently shows 81,400 miles, believed genuine, and remains left-hand drive.

 Documentation supports its long-term single ownership in the US, covering almost 39 years, before being exported to the UK in 2014. Since then, it has had just two registered UK keepers. The history is backed by MOT records, showing just over 5,500 miles covered in the last 11 years.

 Recent works have been comprehensive, including a replacement Holley carburettor with manual choke, new starter motor, new front bumper with overriders, steering column refurbishments, new spark plugs, service items, replacement heavy-duty battery and cabling, and a fully cleaned fuel tank. It has also received a replacement rear tonneau cover with support bars, fresh seat covers, an electric fuel pump, and minor welding to the driver’s floor. The Escort left the factory with the following marking it out a as an experimental vehicle.

-Shock absorber on propshaft

-Suspension set up from a twin cam

-Ignition switch on a bracket under the dash, rather than on the steering column,

-110mph speedo (standard instrument for the van had 80mph max) and marks on the speedo face indicating when to change gear.

 Finished in Mid Atlantic Blue Metallic with Midnight leather interior, this rare survivor is a flagship Ghia X model specified with Ford’s smooth 2.5-litre V6 engine and automatic transmission. Well-equipped as standard, this example was ordered and enhanced with a host of period factory and dealer options, blending luxury with motorsport-inspired style.

 Specification & extras include:

 The first and only owner sought a blend of flagship comfort with Ford’s sporting DNA, and achieved it. This car stands today as a one-of-one specification: a Ghia X Automatic with RSAP styling and RS wheels, period-correct dealer extras, and superb originality.

 Condition:

The car presents in exemplary condition throughout. The bodywork is rust-free, dent-free, and unrestored, remaining entirely original. Alloy wheels are excellent with only minor marks, centre RS caps are unblemished, and rubbers (including exterior window seals) remain fresh. Very minor imperfections are noted: faint marks from former door protectors, a scuff on the lower front bumper, a small scratch on the lower rear bumper, and light touch-ins on both mirror casings.

 The interior matches the exterior in quality – the Midnight leather is superb with minimal wear, the trims, carpets, headlining, mats, boot area and parcel shelf are all excellent.

 Mechanical & driving:

The car drives beautifully. The 2.5 V6 and automatic transmission perform smoothly, and all gauges and ancillaries work correctly. The air conditioning may benefit from a re-gas, but otherwise all equipment functions as it should – including the electric driver’s seat and heated front seats. It has been very recently serviced.

 Importantly, the original Ghia X alloy wheels and the factory suspension, replaced by the dealer at first registration, have been retained by the owner and accompany the car, further underlining its originality and provenance.

 Significance:

Few Mondeos survive in this condition, and fewer still with such provenance. The RSAP pack was rarely seen outside Ford’s sporting ST models, and to have it fitted new to a Ghia X Automatic is virtually unheard of. The RS wheels, supplied from first registration, appear to be unique in Ford enthusiast circles, making this car a true curiosity – possibly the only one of its kind.

 When new, this Ghia X Automatic exceeded £25,000 (£25,185.83) once factory and dealer options were included. Estimate: £8,000 – £10,000 (Given its unique provenance and one-off specification, bidding could realistically reach around £12,000 with strong specialist interest.

Updated headlights on independent relay. Horns on independent relay. European compliant rear lights to original Ford pattern, Amber turn signals. Bright LED powered rear lights.
