Listed Buildings and Conservation Area Consents

Many of our nation’s buildings are a testament to the skill of past architects and builders; they remain standing as a legacy of our past and are rightly protected.

As the landscape changes with time, so too do the use of our historic buildings. The planning process recognises that in order to protect and cherish such buildings, an element of reuse and change is often inevitable.

If you have a Listed Building or are located within a Conservation Area, Hobbs Parker can advise you on the planning policy framework within which decisions on such matters are taken.

We have dealt with a wide range of historic sites ranging from extensions to listed buildings to changes of use, barn conversions and new build amongst the historic environment. Each site is always unique and requires skill to compliment and enhance where necessary the buildings present.

We recognise that for many listed and historic sites simply standing still is not an option. We remain commercially focussed at all times, whilst balancing the planning requirements. No project is too small, too large or too complicated.
