Report on trade: Store lambs dearer by some £2 to £3 per head on recent weeks with the best selling readily at £65 plus, medium sorts around £60 & only small long keeping sorts below £55.
Strong trade for Romney wethers with the best around £60 & an overall average of £54.60.
A strong trade for Breeding ewes with plenty of customers in attendance for the limited numbers available. The best of the ewe tegs £120 plus and up to £142 for purebred Charollais, and purebred Charollais 1 lambers up to £113 from Weekland Charollais.
Again many customers leaving it late to purchase Rams. Trade was brisk throughout and many more could have been sold at a favourable price.
