Report on trade: Another exceptional trade for a large entry of store lambs with a good attendance of buyers from the West Country and Welsh Borders competing well with the local interest. All crossbred lamb averages were in excess of £70 with the best are making either side of £80 and up to £84 for Beltex crosses from S Weeks & Sons. Medium sorts made around £72 and the majority of small long keeping lambs looking well sold in the £60 to £65 bracket.
Romney wethers again in demand with the best making in excess of £70 and despite a large percentage of smaller lambs still averaged in excess of £60. Top pen of wethers made up to £77.50 from E J & A I Fenton.
