Report on trade: A good entry of lambs to finish Friday sales at Ashford Market this year and while the best stores held recent high value the trade for the smaller longer-term sorts was slightly less.
Top crossbred stores sold readily around £110 and up to £125 for Texel cross from Miss K Davis, medium sorts £90 to £100 and the majority of small, longer term lambs in the £80’s.
Romney wethers up to £108 from Wright Farm Partnership with a high percentage of small long keeping lambs generally ranging from £70 to £80.
Store lambs now sold every Tuesday following sale of finished lambs.
