Report on trade: A few more on offer this week with 1200 lambs penned for the last sale of 2025 and a really super trade throughout the entry. A lot of the better lambs trading this week from 350-400p/kg, with an overall average of 340p/kg for all lambs included in the sale, topping with Chris Higgins at 393p/kg. Heavy sheep are selling on a similar trade, to the past few weeks, with the real demand more so for the middle weight export type lambs as they are in short supply nationally. The best sold sheep are presented dry and empty and we would like to ask our vendors to try and make use of the lairage facility in the New Year.
Today’s sale brings trading in Ashford Livestock Market to a close for the year and we would like to thank all our customers, supporters and staff for their support in 2025.
