Sheep Sales Reports

New Season Lambs – 723

Auctioneer: John Rossiter 07557 392903

Top price per kilo – 334p – S T Phillips
Top price per head – £190.00 – Cenzig Koraltay

A very small entry of lambs with many still harvesting, a Bank Holiday weekend and a general lack of finished sheep across the region as many are now coming to the end of their 2024 crop. Trade is similar, maybe just a little less, than last week with reports of a slower trade in the meat sector. The reason that the current price level is being held is that so few good meat lambs are on offer nationally. Biggest, definitely, best once again with a top of £190 from Cengiz Koraltay, whilst the pence per kilo stakes were won by ST Phillips with some heavy lambs at 334p kg.
