Sheep Sales Reports

New Season Lambs – 827 Sold

Auctioneer: John Rossiter 07557 392903

Top price per kilo – 356p – L E Humphreys & Sons & D Isaac & Holly Chandler, Kent.
Top price per head – £199.00 – L E Humphreys & Sons, Kent.

Desperately short of lambs today, accentuated by a bigger breeding section on Friday and Ram Monday yesterday. Demand has strengthened and was ignited last Tuesday and continued to rise as the week went on. The average price achieved per kilo was 320p which is much improved but the quality of lambs on offer certainly helped with some super runs on offer from Dylan & Holly Isaac, C & J Georgetti & Sons and L E Humphreys & Sons to name just a few. Top call on the day went to the Humphreys Family with £199 head and 356p kg. Best lambs are going to get shorter in supply every week, and we don’t have many lambs being fed in the pipeline for the Autumn months which suggests that this trade can be sustained.
