Finished Hoggets – 1,385

Top price per kg: 318p – R J Adams
Top price per head: £159 – R H Smith & Partners

Less on offer today as the end of the hogget season approaches, and numbers of new season lambs increase rapidly each week. The trade is a little easier, admittedly, as the quality is now very variable, and the focus of the demand is switching towards the new season lambs. Trade was about 10p per kg less than we saw last week with the bigger better meated hoggs still often well in excess of £140.
