Report on trade: Just under 4,000 lambs penned for the first Friday store sale of 2021 and what a trade we saw. Prices that have never been seen before for store lambs at this time of year with the overall entry averaging £86! Several genuine stores selling in excess of £90 with some heavier offerings even going in excess of £100 to a top price of £123.50 from Mrs J Biddle. Many good feeding lambs selling from £80-£90 with only longer-term types selling below £75. All round a fantastic day’s trading with big smiles all around the ring afterwards. At these prices it must make sense to sell now and take advantage of these good times!
