Classic Car and Motorcycle Auction Report – 17 July 2020

Our Summer Classic Car Auction approached with much interest and trepidation.

With question marks about social distancing and uncertainty on all fronts, we conducted our Summer 2020 auction as an online timed auction, with 3 and a half days physical viewing prior.

This method has proved extremely successful. Bidders from all around the country and further were bidding furiously with prospective buyers in Australia and many cars finding new homes in Ireland and Scotland.

Auction Highlights

1979 Porsche 911 (930) 3.0 SC

This car had been with the owner since 2000 and although on the brink of 200,000 miles was a well maintained example achieving £28,800 plus buyers premium.

2003 Porsche 911 (996) Carrera 4 Manual convertible

With under 20,000 miles on the clock this two owner example achieved £28,100 plus premium, definitely a safe example for the future.

1997 Honda RVF 750 RC45

This really was one for the connoisseur, hand built by the Honda Racing Corporation as a very exclusive special edition – in essence a road going World Superbike as ridden by John Kocinski, Aaron Slight and Colin Edwards. Selling to a collector for £22,700 plus premium.

1993 – Honda Legend

Possibly the finest surviving example in the UK, achieving £7,800 plus premium.
