Two cutting edge North Kent businesses use Hobbs Parker Telecom to lead the way into the next generation of telecommunications.
The Hobbs Parker Group , TelecomsNew Avaya systems have been installed by the company into Estuary View Medical Centre and Kent International Airport (KIA) at Manston.
Estuary View is one of a new breed of ‘super surgeries’ which opened recently in Whitstable and is an innovative, integrated healthcare facility offering many services usually associated with hospital outpatient and diagnostic departments.
Additional to typical range of services available at a local GP practice, there are also clinics for treating diabetes, hypertension and asthma, plus facilities for minor surgery and casualties, scanning, spirometry (lung assessment) and phlebotomy. An on-site pharmacy means that for Whitstable residents, Estuary View really is a one-stop shop for health matters.
Hobbs Parker Telecom has been working closely with the Estuary View practice managers to ensure the new systems mean quicker and easier access for patients to the services they need. No more engaged signal and endless waiting to get a doctor’s appointment, instead patients can go on-line and book the next most convenient appointment available. A simple new telephone greetings menu now takes callers directly to the area required.
Further round the North Kent coast from Whitstable, Kent International Airport (KIA) at Manston has enjoyed being back in the headlines with their recently announced Master Plan.
Communications for growth and the future are very much at the forefront of KIA’s vision. Hobbs Parker Telecom has installed a state-of-the-art Panasonic system across the 700 acre site integrating the existing system for air traffic control. By using the very latest technology and optimising efficiency, the new system will generate sufficient savings to pay for itself within a couple of years as well as providing for the airport’s proposed expansion.
By 2018, it is intended that over two million passengers a year will be using the airport. New routes from Manston are also being announced, including daily flights to Edinburgh with FlyBe.
Robert Woods, MD of Hobbs Parker Telecom, says: ‘being involved in two such dynamic and forward-thinking projects within Kent is very exciting for us and ties in with our own plans to be the telecommunications supplier of choice for businesses in the south east.’
