Hobbs Parker Property Consultants LLP - Assistant Planning Consultant

Hobbs Parker Property Consultants LLP are seeking an Assistant Consultant Planner, to join their expanding planning team, led by David Jarman. The team was formed by the merger of David Jarman Associates planning consultancy with Hobbs Parker in January 2007.

The consultancy is based in Ashford, a major growth area for the South-East, and the consultancy team is involved in a wide range of projects for clients in both public and private sectors, ranging from major residential development projects of up to 1,000 dwellings, to rural diversification projects, throughout the South-East of England.

The person appointed will have the opportunity to take an important role in the work of the practice, and take the lead role on projects, with appropriate supervision and assistance.

There will be genuine opportunities for progression to more senior positions within the practice, for the right candidate.

The practice recognises the importance of training, and will provide opportunities both for appropriate external training, and internal training events.

The successful candidate will be a graduate in Town Planning, or possibly a related discipline, preferably with 1 to 2 years relevant experience, although consideration will be given to recent graduates.

A salary of between ś18,000 and ś20,000 per annum, is offered dependent on experience; the post will involve travel by private car, and the successful candidate would be expected to provide their own car, for business use. A mileage allowance is paid for travel for business purposes.
