Pluckley's most recent claim to fame is the popular TV series "Darling Buds of May" which was filmed in and around this charming village. It is also thought to be the most haunted village in the country and there are said to be about a dozen spectral inhabitants, some of them belonging to the local Dering family. Hence Pluckley is very popular on Halloween night! However, don't let this put you off this very friendly and lively village which has many organisations to be enjoyed.

For The More Sporting...

There is a Tennis Club, Cricket Club, Football Club and a Sports Association. The village has a Senior Citizen's Club and a Gardening Society, Royal British Legion and Pluckley Pantomime Unlimited, Women's Institute, Playgroup and Friends of the St Nicholas Church to name but a few.
