The twin villages of Stelling Minnis & Rhodes Minnis are located on "the Minnis" - an open expanse of grass & coppice; common land with grazing rights owned by a handful of residents.
The village of Rhodes Minnis is located on the edge of West Wood, a forestry commission site popular with ramblers, horse riders, cyclists, dog owners & bird watchers.
The larger village of Stelling Minnis is proud of its windmill - an octagonal tarred weatherboarded smock mill, where milling continues for the benefit of enthusiasts & visitors who are welcomed by the Kent Mills Group on summer Sunday afternoons. It also houses a museum of village & agricultural interest.
There are several clubs & societies within the village of Stelling Minnis including the Stelling Minnis Historical Society, the Hundreds Association & the Stelling Minnis Green Keepers Association. The village also takes part in an annual "old time" cricket match against the neighbouring team from Bossingham held in August on the windmill field.
