Newchurch lies in one of the oldest parts of the Romney Marsh, surrounded by farmland. Historically, the village was the centre of the sheep and wool trade on Romney Marsh and the surrounding areas.
This beautiful, peaceful village enjoys a village green and the splendid Twelfth Century church of St Peter and St Paul is supported by the Romney Marsh Historic Churches Trust.
There is a quality restaurant within the village, an active social club based at the village hall and buses to New Romney and Ashford pass through the village regularly. There is a fine links golf course on the outskirts of New Romney, Shops, Library, and School at Hamstreet and Secondary School at New Romney (both a short drive away).
The local railway stations are at Hamstreet and Ashford.
