Jane's particular areas of expertise include negotiations and planning advice, preparation and submission of planning applications and planning appeals, preparation of Design and Access Statements and Sequential Test Assessments.
Jane is a Member of the Royal Town Planning Institute. She studied Town and Country Planning at South Bank University, London and then gained extensive knowledge of Local Authority practice, working for 19 years in Local Authorities in Thanet and Dover, Kent. Working primarily in her own planning consultancy, J S Planning, from February 2008 until joining Hobbs Parker in October 201, she also worked as a Planning Inspector from January 2009 to April 2010.
Brought up in Hertfordshire, but living in Kent since 1979, married to Paul, with two sons. Jane's interests include reading, coarse fishing and craft work.
Over the past 7 years or so I and colleagues in our commercial property team have worked closely with Bill Lightfoot and Jon Rimmer at Hobbs Parker Property Consultants LLP on a number of land sales involving the grant of development options and conditional contracts, some involving complex planning and overage issues.
